Two really good posts - love the scribd presentation - do need to consider the target audience more in terms of demographics and VALS. Need to complete with work on target audience as soon as possible - very clever blogging and creative post. Keep up with the proficient posts.

Research and evaluate the institutional context of your artist?
Our artist Affi fits into the grime genre, therefore we needed to find a record company that supports and signs grime music. Whilst researching i came across a record label called 'No hats, No hoods'. They are one of the biggest underground music rave organises as well as a promising new record label to the grime scene that has seen some sucessful music releases recently. For example - Tempa T who has been a huge influence to our group in the process of creating our artist 'Affi'. 'No hats, No hoods' is a reletively new record label and isn't yet very well known. It attracts a small audience who are specifically interested in the grime genre. Although this may seem as a disadvantage because many artists want to be well known and popular within the mainstream audiences i personally feel that our artist 'Affi' would be better off signed to a record label that concerntrate on the grime genre. Having a record label that is strictly interested in selling the grime genre to the public means that our artist is more likely to become popular because the record label will be concerntrated on selling that genre to its exsisting audience as well as others. Below is a link to the record label - http://www.nohatsnohoods.co.uk/.
The target audience of our artist 'Affi' would be the younger generation. A teenage audience to young adults. Between the ages of 16-20. The majority of 'Grime' fans tend to be ethnic minorities and from working class families this is usually because of the roots of the music. Here are a few images of our target audience.

Feedback
There are some good creative posts on the blogs which cover your initial concept well. You do need to post the brief and what about who else you are group working with. Slideshow is good. Would be even better if you continue to link your ideas with real media products and link with theoretical ideas use Negus on the Music Industry and Dyer on Star Image. Keep up with the efforts on your blog and stay creative in your presentation.

Writing up our proposal.
In the past few lessons we have have been coming up with lots of different ideas for our music video. We have done lots of research on what we want to include in our music video. After looking into different concepts we have all chosen our favourite idea's and brought it together to outline the main concept for our video.
The artists name in our video is going to be - Affy. The reason we have chosen this is because its short and snappy and also is just a shortning of the main

Narrowing down our idea's.
Ghostpoet's video of 'cash and carry me home' inspired us to create a deep and dark video, designed to unsettle the audience. The design elements used within this video has given us an idea of the theme that will run through our video and the sort of minimalisitic prop type we will be using.
After watching this video we have come up with a list of possible props/ideas to use-:
- oil canister (set alight)
- see-through glasses
- a cardboard cutout of the innards of the body.
- large heads placed on small bodies- puppets
- clear bottles, jars, hanging up (fluorescent liquids in the bottle)
-Setting - blacked out studio space (minmal)
- using the natural light created by the flames of the oil canister
- possible spotlights focused on the props
- floorlights
Characters- Afalabei will be our main guy who will play the part as of the grime artist in question.
